The Panasonic DVD-S48 DVD Player is a slimline multi-format disc player that will play your collection of standard DVDs, discs recorded and finalized on your DVD video recorder or camera, and even CDs.
The DVD-S48 supports several file formats like MP3, JPEG and WMA so you can play music files and photos from your camera. Featuring a front panel high-speed USB 2.0 port, you can plug in a USB flash memory device directly for playback without having to reach to the back of the DVD player. The DVD-S48 also features progressive scan for a smoother, more realistic picture quality. This eliminates the scan lines often seen with interlaced video for a more cinematic experience when you're watching videos.
The DVD-S48 comes with a convenient remote with full system functions, so you can control everything from your couch. You can also make adjustments to the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation and sharpness of your video from afar to fine tune the settings. Offering a slim design that matches any decor, this DVD player is a compact yet full-featured addition to your home theater setup.
- Multi-Format Disc Playback
- With the DVD-S48, you don't have to worry about whether it will play your disc collection. It supports playback of: DVD Video, DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD+R DL, CD-DA, (Video CD, Super Video CD), CD-R (CD-DA, JPEG, MP3), CD-RW (Video CD, Super Video CD).
- Progressive Scan
- This is a progressive scan DVD player, so it's capable of scanning an entire video frame at once. This reduces scan lines commonly associated with interlaced video to produce a clear image without motion artifacts or "stair-stepping." It also delivers highly detailed imaging for a smoother, more realistic picture quality.
- USB Playback and Recording
- The DVD-S48 is capable of recording audio files (CD-DA) from a CD onto a USB device as an MP3 format. With the front panel USB port you can easily plug in a USB device to record from a disc.
- Front Panel USB Port
- The front panel high-speed USB 2.0 port means you can plug in your USB flash memory device for playback of your personal videos, music and photos. Share them with friends and family without needing to reach to the back of the player. This player supports playback of MP3 and JPEG files from USB memory devices.
