I have it set up as the second monitor with an Acer X213W as the first. The Acer image to me shows better contrast between black and white. The Compaq W220q's screen seems to be a little lighter than the Acer.
Unlike the Acer, it only comes with VGA, so if you change to digital you will either need a new monitor, or need to buy an adapter.
The built in speakers are a bit on the tinny side, but at least they are located in the front.
When you turn it on (I have it set to auto config), it displays the auto config menu which gets a little annoying to see it all the time.
The base is about 9" in diameter and it's round unlike the Acer, so it takes up a bit of space.
The optimal display resolution is 1680 x 1050 but I don't like it since the menus etc become very small so I leave it at 1440 x 900 which seems to give a fairly decent display.
